Snorkeling the caves and the Indians

We are going back to Tortola the end of September and are thinking of snorkeling the caves and Indians. Can anyone tell me if you need a waterproof light to see in the caves or is there enough natural light? Any info is greatly appreciated. We did not snorkel in Tortola at all on our last trip so we want to check out more of the marine life this time. Thanks in advance.

I have not done the caves but can share second hand information on them from what I hear: fine without a light but better, of course, to see back into the caves with one.

The Indians are a "do not miss" snorkel.

Agree with Subwater - the Indians are great for snorkeling! Make sure you have your u/w camera battery charged :)

Oops - also meant to say - yes, get an inexpensive waterproof flashlight for the Caves snorkel - you'll like having it!

Happy Snorkeling :)

You don't need a flashlight, we have done it without, but it will make it easier to find the treasure if you have one.

Honestly, the backs of the caves are just not that far from the openings which in themselves are quite large - there's plenty of available natural light . You do not need a flashlight.

Thanks to everyone for the info. Cannot wait to go. What other spots around Tortola are great for snorkeling?
