Looking to expand upon 7 night Honeymoon at Mango Bay

We're planning our July honeymoon at Mango Bay, doing the 7 night package. I have heard that its a somewhat complicated journey to get to Virgin Gorda, via ferries and such, which is ok, but would be even better if we could stay over 1 or 2 nights on each end of our trip to see more of the BVI.

We are in our late 20's, and on a budget, so we wouldn't want to spend much over $150/nightly. It will be our first time to the Caribbean. My fiance is also a sailor, so if anyone knows of shorter 1-2 night charters, that would be a welcome option.

Thanks!

Check the website (and other sites) for the Bitter End Resort (and Yacht Club) on Virgin Gorda. I think that might be just your cup of tea-- plenty of sailing and not in high price range.

Congrats!

Bitter End Resort is not within your price range. It's $650 a night (and I'm in my 50's and that's out of my price range.) Saba Rock's beach unit is $175 out of season. Go to www.sabarock.com. Are you flying into Beef Island, Tortola? If so, you should be able to find lodging on Tortola within your price range.

Or...you could do a couple of days in Anegada. A lovely little island waaaayyy off the beaten path with dazzling white sand beaches like Anguilla. It would definitely be in your budget and there's not a lot to do there, perfect for honeymooners. ;~> Scrumptious lobster as well!

Happy Honeymooning!

Congrats on your wedding, and it's a great idea to try to stay a few more days in paradise.

On VG, you should be about to find accommodations in your range during low season in July at:

http://www.leverickbay.com/ which would be a nice contrast in the North Sound area to your Mango Bay unit at Mahoe Bay.

Just N of Spanish Town, brand new condos (AC in each room) with a large pool and excellent restaurant at http://www.oldeyardvillage.com/

And on the beach at http://www.fischerscove.com/ (only a few units have AC)

Have a blessed union, alashas http://honeymoon2.smugmug.com/
