Solo traveler to VG - any affordable hotels?

I am spending 7 days in Tortola followed by 3 in VG over the holidays. I looked into a few properties like Mango Bay and Bitter End YC and they are all so expensive!

Is there a budget hotel of some kind in VG? As long as I'm close to the beach and restaurants I'm okay with not being directly on the water. I'm looking for a Rhymers' equivalent (in Tortola)...

thanks!

Hello:

You could try the Bayview Vacation apartments in the valley. Near the marina. Another possibility are the rooms at Leverick Bay. They would be fine for a single or a double.

Thank you, Bayview looked great but..they're booked on my dates (:

Will now look @ Leverick. Isn't that far off from everything?

Vg has only 8 miles of road, so no it is not far from everything. In fact Levdrick Bay is a resort with swimming pool, bar area, food. Nice Place

I keep my yacht there. see www.videoautomation.com/reefsong

Here's a one to look at that would do the trick:

Also, you can rent bungalows at Guavaberry by the day:

So far nothing under $145... am not giving up, there has to be something cheaper! :)

$145.00 through the holidays on VG? That is a challenge. Let me know if you find something for future advice and reference.

Good luck!

ACB - I did it! Got a room at Fisher's Cove for $115/nt ... not bad for holiday season on VG. Price on their site is much higher - it paid off to contact them directly.

Excellent! Obviously you made the right decision going direct. I am not surprised they won (they were in your range with off season pricing). Just shows how soft this market is for all vacation properties.

I agree! This is - ironically - the best time to travel. Discounts everywhere.
