Friday night special evening in BVI VG

Our 25th wedding anniversary will be on a Friday Night in September and we will be in Virgin Gorda, staying in a villa near Mahoe Bay, do you recommend the buffet at The Little Dix Bay Grand Caribbean Buffet or is that ONLY a Monday night event?? What do you all recommend for a Friday night special evening?

Great question...and there are several choices.

For food, contact Little Dix Bay:

The buffet is not available on Friday, but they can set up a romantic evening for you

I also like the rock garden at The Rock Cafe:

Make sure you tell them you want to eat in the garden. Food can be ok to good. I am a fan of the lobster pasta.

The restaurant at Leverick Bay probably has the best food on the island, but I don't know how romantic it would be on Friday night with the Jumbie party going on below.

It is worth contacting them and asking them what they think.

I like the view at Top of the Baths but I am not sure about the food. Some like it, so don't. Certainly would be a romantic spot, though.

Hope you have an excellent anniversary!

I agree with all of the above. I can attest to the food at the Baths - I loved it! I also love the atmosphere at the Rock Cafe and the food is good. The only place I did not like was Chez Bamboo - thought it was way overpriced and mediocre food.

Friday nights, the Mine Shaft has Morris Mark playing. So you could get some dancing in! Always nice on an Anniversary.

There are beautiful sunsets from up there and we found the food & service super! They even offer a free shuttle (well you tip the driver) But could be something to arrange beforehand. Although I guess staying in Mahoe you will have a vehicle probably your whole time.

Emily is very helpful & actually replies to emails (no other restaurant in VG did - before our trip) so she gets extra bonus points in my book for that! My experience with her, she'd make it a special night for you!

Suggest you do the Jumbie party at Leverick Bay on Friday and then the Monday Buffet at Little Dix. Gives you the best of all on VG

Note: The upstairs restaurant at leverick is not open Friday nights.

The restaurant at Leverick is the best food but they will not be open on Friday night because of the BBQ downstairs. IMHO the Mineshaft is not a very romantic setting at all! For a romantic evening I would suggest either Little Dix or take the ferry from Gun Creek to Biras Creek or The Bitter End. I also don't like Chez Bamboo, expensive and I don't like sitting right next to the road when I could be somewhere with a view.
