A couple of questions about visiting The Baths next February (2014):

- Is there any way to determine when the cruise ship crowds will be at a minimum, i.e. is there a specific day that they come over?

- Do we have to buy ferry tickets ahead of time if coming from St. John (i.e. if we wake up and it is a bad weather day...have heard that the swells can be bad in the winter months)?

- Does the ferry from Cruz Bay only run on certain days?

1) The Baths is a very popular tourist spot - it gets fairly crowded every day regardless of whether or not a cruise ship is visiting nearby ports. You can best avoid crowds by going there before 10:00AM or after 4:00PM. Since you are coming from St. John those "early or late" times will be impractical for you due to ferry schedules since - you'll just have to put up with the crowds if you want to see the Baths.

2) No, you can't purchase ferry tickets in advance. you buy them just before you board the ferry.
