Hi - We are just back from a week in Grand Cayman and want to thank all of you for all the good advice I read on this forum.
We had a time share exchange to Morritt's Grand so we were staying right on the beach. Our unit was nice, clean and had a big balcony. We attended the timeshare presentation which was very low key and they gave us $75 in Morritts dollars we could use for food and drinks or water sports.
We went to the Monday night BBQ which was fun and the music was good. My lobster tail was disappointing, very rubbery. Hubby liked his.
We enjoyed the Sunday brunch at Tukka's, dinner twice at Italian Kitchen and one night we had dinner at Over the Edge. We had really great food at all of those restaurants.
Oh and I had patties twice while we were there - got a chicken one at the Fosters express store and a beef one at the airport before we flew home. Both were very tasty!
Drove around a bit on the island and went to Georgetown one day. Didnt go to Turtle Farm as had seen it before.
Went out on a snorkel trip from the resort to Sunset Reef. There was a bit of a current but not too bad. We saw some pretty coral and fish but not as many as on other snorkel trips we have been.
We mostly hung around the resort, relaxing by the pool or beach and reading. It was windy and we thought the pool was cold (but maybe we are wusses!) Anyway, had a fun time and enjoyed it very much.
Forgot to say that we went to the Reef Resort and saw the Barefoot Man and that dinner was also good and we enjoyed the music. Some of his songs are really very funny!Edited: 06 March 2012, 21:15
