Can anyone tell me if the Reef Resort is a timeshare property? Looking into going there but don't want to be bothered if it is a timeshare resort. Thanks

The Reef Resort offers timeshare ownership but you don't have to be a timeshare owner to stay there! Most of the TripAdvisor reviews are very positive; cumulative total 4-1/2 stars out of 5. You can read reviews of The Reef Resort at

in addition, the timeshare people are very low key....our first stay there, about 11 or 12 years ago, we didn't know it was a timeshare, looked at Morritts' timeshares next door to get the money off a rental car AND because we didn't know what a timeshare was......didn't want to buy there because they weren't all oceanfront units and didn't have "lockoffs" like the Reef does...and had to find someone at the Reef to see if they sold timeshares...we actually had to track someone down! :)

You'll love it there..particularly if you love quiet, great snorkeling, and very large balconies or patios...pure bliss.

Second what Celine said. They will ask if you would like to spend an hour listening to their timeshare presentation and offer you an inducement to listen (something like a food voucher or a free trip to Stingray City), but they won't pester you endlessly during your stay.
