Stingray city and Seven Mile Beach

Do any of the tour operators combine a trip to stingray city with an island tour and a stop at Seven Mile Beach?

I have never heard of one who does all three activities. If you are on a cruise ship, you won't have enough time for all that!

rockcod,

You may want to ask any cruise related excursion port-of-call questions on TA's Cruise Critic sister forum. Most of the DE's and regular participants on this forum are more inclined to be knowledgeable regarding stay-over tourism geared activities. Here's the link:

If you want to go really cheap you can take the local bus which will drop you off at various areas. The bus runs quite often and is very reasonable. To find the bus terminal go left after you exit the cruise terminal and walk a couple blocks. You will see a parking lot with minibuses. It will give you the price to various locations. If you want you can take a circle tour which lasts about 45 minutes. It passes several hotels, the Govern's Mansion, seven mile beach, swimming with the dolphins, and the town of Hell. The roundtrip costs US $5.00 per person.

Following on from the post above by snowbird70:

If you're adventurous you could design your own "low-budget" tour taking the minibus from downtown to the Turtle Farm (US$18 adult admission), allow at least 45 minutes for that, catch the minibus from there to mail your postcards from "Hell" (free admission), catch the minibus from there to the Seven Mile Beach public beach (beside Calico Jack's) (free admission), then catch another minibus back to downtown. Be sure to watch the time though, and speak with the minibus drivers to find out how often the buses will be coming to each stop.

Here's a less-hassle option though: At the cruise terminal there will be several tour bus drivers holding up signs offering tours too, so check those out to see if either of those fits your itinerary and budget. That would be more convenient than catching all those minibuses, the tour buses stop at the Governor's mansion and the pink house and give you some narrative, and the tour bus drivers synch up with the cruise ship schedules.

Very helpful infomation.

We'll take Carnival cruise to Cayman Island in two weeks. As usual, we don't want to sign up shore excursions with our ship, but we've never been in Cayman Island before. As for the tour bus at the port, can you recommend one that goes to both Stingway City and Seven Mile Beach, or one that makes our 8-hour stay the most efficient?

By the way, which part of the island our ship will dock?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Ship tenders come into Georgetown.. that was the way we came to GC on our first visit.. Took a tour from De Soto's Stingray tour.. picked us up right downtown and dropped us off on Seven Mile Beach Coconut Joes area and sat at the Reef Grill had a drink and enjoyed the beach.

Taxi or bus back to Georgetown.
