You have three choices:

Frigate Bay - 12 minutes by taxi from cruise ship dock. You choice of 6 or 7 beach bars.

South Friars Bay - 18 minutes by taxi. A couple of beach bars and the upscale Carambola Restaurant.

Cockleshell Beach 30 minutes by taxi. A couple of beach bars and one restaurant. Hobie cats, kyacking and other water sports available for a fee.

All have umbrellas and lounge chairs torent.

St. Kitts is not noted for snorkeling so it will be limited at any of those beaches.

Best to make arrangements for the taxi you take to any of the beaches to come back and get you at a pre-determined time as taxis are not always just waiting around fore pick-up fares.

Honestly, on cruise ship days you you will not be able to avoid crowds at the beach unless you go to a beach without facilities. You'll find plenty of your fellow passengers at all of those beaches (which, by the way, are the only ones on the island with "facilities"). Frigate Bay will probably have the least amount of people but that's only because it's the smallest beach of the three - so even though there's less people it may look more crowded than the other two, which are much longer beaches. If you visit either of the other two you can find "sections" where there won't be too many people but you'll then have to walk a bit to get to where you can rent umbrellas and chairs, eat, drink and use the toilets.

Think of the line from the movie Field of Dreams - "If you build it, they will come". You'll find the most people where the most "facilities" are located. Businesses go where there are people and people go where there are businesses. There's no getting around that.

I understand what you mean by that line.

this is my first cruise and I am not used to being with so many people.

i usually go to kauai and find a beach with less than a dozen people
