Where to eat?

Been here since Sunday, first off this island is beautiful. At the Marriott and can't say enough great things. Beautiful the most pleasant staff I have ever met. We did have problems with the ac the first night and they changed our room where the ac is working great.

We ate at Blu and Marshalls. Last night we went to Cathys. food was very good although they told my husband no appetizers and other people were able to order them so not sure what that was about but, food was good. Any suggestions for tonight and tomorrow night? Thanks in advance

1. Re: Where to eat?

Depends how far you want to venture and whether you want casual, higher end, etc. Nearby (up around the second roundabout as you leave the Marriott and head back toward airport/town. If you know the way to Marshalls, where you turned left from the main road, this would be lower, right turn) there is a French restaurant, La Belle Vie, with some really good values and a nice setting in a converted house. Walking distance from you: Rituals sushi is getting some good reviews. Bombay Blues for Indian. Ciao for classic (not Americanized) Italian. Rock Lobster (this one not a personal fav, but has a nice view at night of golf course, hills and stars). In Basseterre, for pretty, romantic setting, and some expensive but good food - Serendipity. Along the SE Peninsula - Carambola is the closest! Beautiful place, beachside setting. Or further south - Spice Mill, on Cockleshell Beach. Check ahead to make sure they are open, as it's quite a joy ride along the peninsula at night

Thanks, we went to Serendipity. Had a fantastic meal outside on the deck.
