Culturama and Nevis in summer

In the past we've visited Nevis in winter. This time we're coming in late July to take in Culturama. What's different about Nevis at this time of year? Will there be fewer tourists? Fewer restaurants open?

Yes, much fewer tourist - you'll have many of the beaches all to yourselves. Yes, some of the restaurants will either be closed or operating on reduced schedules. Don't worry though there will still be plenty of places where you can dine (in all price ranges).

We've always visited Nevis during "hurricane" season - June, July, & August. Things are usually pretty quiet and uncrowded (except for those days when a party boat from St. Kitts lands at Pinneys Beach). Most restaurants are open (though we've never had the pleasure of dining at Gallipot) and even on the busiest nights you'll only share them with a few other parties. Just make sure to call ahead - we were reminded on our visit last week that most restaurants close on Mondays. We've always missed Culturama by a week or two but I would imagine with everything going on and the locals coming out, there should be plenty of places open to keep you satisfied.
