Flights from NYC

We are planning a trip to Nevis in March. The nonstop flight on American Airlines from JFK lands in St kitts at 8:45pm. My question is do you think its worth it to book a flight with 1 stop in either Miami or San Juan in hopes of getting to the resort earlier or to just stick with this non-stop flight that gets in late at night. I hate paying for a room the first night when we really will not get to appreciate the resort at all. Any opinions??

Non-stop has always been the best choice for us. I believe you will still find the water taxi to Nevis (Oualie) operating in the evening. We usually contact: lizpereiratours@yahoo.com to arrange the taxi from the airport and the water taxi to Nevis...but contact Liz (or any other tour operator of your choice) directly. Cheers, Richard.

We now have to fly through Miami to get to Nevis from Boston--but at least on the way there, we arrive in Nevis mid-afternoon. I would hate to get there at night unless I was staying for more than two weeks.

Ask your hotel/inn to arrange your transfer from St. Kitts to Nevis no matter when you arrive. It's quite easy--taxi from the airport to Cockleshell Beach, short water taxi to Nevis, where another taxi will be waiting for you to take you to your lodging. They all coordinate with one another so there is little to no waiting.
