Reasonable place to stay in St. Vincent...for a few nights.

A buddy and I want to do a little hiking, looking around, what is a good place with Clean/Comfortable Room, A/C, that would allow us to use as a base to rent a car etc. We don't need to be on the Ocean, as we won't be spending a ton of time in the room.

Look at the Beachcomber. Reasonable and good value for the dollars.

Want rough and ready, try Richmond Vale in the far north.

Recommend the Rosewood Apartments at Villa (and also Beachcombers). Clean and comfortable. Hire a guide and hike up to Soufriere which is the volcano to the north of the island.
