bequia beach club vs firefly and bequia ?'s

This trip has just crept up on us. We are staying at Palm Island and we want to extend our trip to Bequia for a couple of nights.

Here are a few questions I have...

We want to charter a private boat that will take us from Palm Island to Bequia....big enough to store luggage and keep it dry....plus 4 of us. We want to spend the whole day on the boat...stopping at Mustique and anywhere else along the way. Can anyone send contact information please

Should we stay at Bequia Beach Club or Firefly? Both look good

Concerns about both BBC said they are finished with renovations??

Firefly is not open so have to risk not being able to book when they are back

We will really only have one full day in Bequia....I know not enough....it will be a Sunday. Is everything open on Sunday?

Best way to get back to Barbados from Bequia....can not figure out the local airline flights or how to book?

Thanks

Q: We want to charter a private boat that will take us from Palm Island to Bequia

A: Check out the options on www.bequiatourism.com. My choice would be a sailboat for comfort and a motorboat for speed. A lot depends on your budget.

Q: Should we stay at Bequia Beach Club or Firefly? Both look good

A: Bequia Beach Club

Q: We will really only have one full day in Bequia....I know not enough....it will be a Sunday. Is everything open on Sunday?

A: Your best bet on Sunday is to go to De Reef in Lower Bay and enjoy the community vibe. You could arrange a taxi tour of the island for the morning and chill at the beach in the afternoon.

Q: Best way to get back to Barbados from Bequia....can not figure out the local airline flights or how to book?

A: go to www.svgair.com. Book online or telephone. Note that the Bequia airport is currently closed. We are all crossing fingers that it will reopen before the season starts. Alternately, you could ferry/sail to St. Vincent and fly either SVG or Liat. www.liatairline.com.

Awesome thanks

few more questions?

Bequia airport is closed?? Because of damage or season? We have international flights from the States booked in and out of Barbados.

Do you recommend someone for the taxi tour?

Best restaurants for...

Fun night out - Saturday night

Local island fare - lunch Sunday

Nicest couple date night dinner - Sunday night

TA is just awesome!

A: Lots of good ones – I recommend Noel Taxi

A: So many choices - Bequia Beach Club, Tantie Pearl, Gingerbread, Frangipani, etc etc.

Obviously it would be a very different stay, but why not stay in Mustique where you will be able to fly to BGI?
