My 11yr. old and I will be at Villa Lodge this week with a few side trips to Bequia and Mustique. She's a very "plain food" kind of kid. Can anyone recommend some good cheap restaurants? Also heard the Falls of Beleine are closed due to mudslides...and they've started shooting Pirates of the Caribbean2 on location at Wallilabou...anyone have any information to share?

1. Re: Restaurants

The falls are closed but a trip up the west coast by boat is still fun and will include a stop at the Pirates village and maybe swim/snorkelling at Mount Wynne Bay. Seabreeze does a good job. Pirates shooiting will be in March and April (there was a casting call in Feb in Bequia.

Plain food to your kid is sometimes exotica in the Caribbean. Don't even think of trying the local version of hot dog - yuck. French fries, chicken wings and hamburgers are everywhere, good and not too expensive. Villa is the tourist area, though, and you will pay more than in Kingstown. Look for where the locals go - try to get your darling to be a bit adventurous - roti, fish cutter etc.

On Bequia, Dawn's Creole on the Beach at Lower Bay would be your best bet.
