Hi

There is a vast choice and price range, but here are three popular suggestions for Carnival goers:

1. Heritage Inn just outside the bounds of Port of Spain in St Anns: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Heritage-Inn-Trinidad/149626385069717#!/pages/Heritage-Inn-Trinidad/149626385069717?sk=notes

Look at their Carnival pictures from this year :)

2. Gingerbread House in the heart of Carnival action on Carlos Street:

3. Melbourne Inn also in the heart of Carnival on French Street:

I know that Heritage Inn and The Gingerbread House already have bookings for next year, Melbourne probably does too. The popular places with a good reputation always do and by October this year they will be booked for 2012, so don't leave it too long to decided.

Everyone wants to be here for The Greatest Show On Earth :)

Hope that helps and if you do make it for Carnival 2012, I hope you have a fantastic trip.

Kind regards, Ally.

My best advice for you, even if travelling with a crowd for Carnival. Is try and get 24 hour security type accommodations. Try emailing some of these places to see if they have security. http://www.trinistay.com/

I know Trinidad & Tobago is an absolutely beautiful island, and I love it dearly. However, crime and worthlessness is on the rise there in such a way that any smart person would take precaution. Have fun, wine down, I love Carnival myself, I am a true Trini to de bone. But we careful. Lock your door. Deviants are the same there as they are all over the world. If you are inside your room, if your door locks, lock in. Dont flash your money around. Plan out your day money, cash your $ at the bank. I have a good friend in St.Augustine and he picked me up at the airport and drove me around safely to the beaches etc. Enjoy yourself (yourselves) becareful and have fun.Hyacinth
