help with hotel shortlist

Hi there,

Looking at a week in tobago mid Sept. Would love some help with choosing a hotel. I've narrowed it down to:

Co co reef

Blue haven

Trotskyist

We are looking for somewhere with a real Caribbean feel and be as close as possible to snorkelling opportunities. Also as we don't drive we want somewhere near bars/shops etc. A nice beach would be a bonus too (-:

Any help appreciate

A very conclusive reply (-:

Any reason in particular you'd recommend coco reef?

Have you considered the Kariwak Village which is located in the same Crown Point area as the other hotels you have short listed?

The nearest beaches are the popular Store Bay and the beautiful Pigeon Point, both within easy walking distance. The Kariwak Village is a small hotel with lovely local touches and a restaurant that features the best of the local cuisine.

It is our favourite place to stay when in Tobago.

Enjoy!

If coco reef comes with a package from British Airways and you can afford it fine, but Rainbow Resort is fine also and these are all within walking distance to the beach, the airport and the various eating places actually you can walk from there to the activities and food.

Thanks for the alternative options. I usually book flights and accommodation separately but have left it too late this time so having to go down the package route. Our flights are with monarch. Coco reef is top end of our budget especially if we take the all Inc package so we are considering just b and b depending how much eating out is? Are there some cheap eateries nr the hotel? Thanks

I'll throw this into the mix ... www.johnstonapartments.com These are situated next to Coco Reef and also on Store Bay. (A 5 min walk from the airport). But you'll have to do all your meals. There are food vendors right across the road from the gate in a little area. There is also a restaurant right as you exit the airport terminal that serves local fare.
