Are you looking for a hotel, or a resort? Most of the resorts along Grace Bay are condo style with full kitchens. What type of budget are you looking.

We need more information. Budget ? All Inclusive? Boutique ? Ocean front? Most resorts along Grace Bay are condo style accomodations.

I would like ocean front hotel $ 2-300/ night preferably. I have not been able to find a sheratons or Hilton or Marriott or other major American chain there - what's up with that?

TCI is not an island with any type of chains. Oceanfront @ 2-300 per night may be difficlut to come by. Have you done any type of research on TCI as it is an expensive destination and is not a party island. Also when are you planning to visit?

Take a look at the link below for choices:

Also you may want to work with Turks and Caicos Reservations:

Tell them what your budget is and they may be able to find you something that you'll like at that price range.

There is only a Comfort Suites ( not on the beach), Beaches Resort ( Sandels), and Club Med which you may be familar with. No American fast food in the Turks either. Most are privatly owned condos that are rented out through the resorts.

For your price range start with

Ocean Club west

The Alexandra

Royal West Indies

The Sands resort

7. Re: hotels?

There are no hotel chains on the island like Hyatt, Marriot etc......!

Many small boutique resorts with their own individual personalities.

That's what make this island so special.

Bid hotel chains are not here because they can not buy a small property and build up high. Seven stories is the highest but all the rest are only up to 4 stories high.

For that price range you may want to look into, beside what was listed already........Sibonne and Aqua Marine Beach houses.
