I'm sitting on our verandah enjoying Taylor bay one last time before headed home to our vacation destination, ft lauderdale. We've been to Jamaica, Freeport and many other places but I must say provo is my favorite! We rented a villa on Taylor bay and HIGHLY recommend it! We got to enjoy the most beautiful beach on the island everyday! If you were here this week we were the ones floating in the middle of the bay w drinks in our hands ;) we did explore the island from blue hills to leeward and ventured off to many other beaches to check them out and we will always stay on Taylor bay! Everyone would comment "you came all the way here from Taylor bay?" But 15-20 mins is absolutely nothing for us, in fact south dock road always put me to sleep on the way home from dinner, very relaxing! We arrived last saturday and after settling into our villa hit up IGA for necessities. (I'm only going to comment on restaurants and such, imagine everyday we did end up in the bay for a few hours) had dinner at las brisas, very good tapas and headed to grace bay to explore, had a drink at Jimmy's and headed home after seeing there was not a big night life going on. Sunday we had lunch at bugaloos, LOVED it! Service was fantastic, conch fritters and salad were delicious! We got directions to somewhere and headed over for drinks and had the pulled pork quesadilla, yum! We drove around exploring some this day and headed Back to the villa for a nap, later we picked up take out from mr groupers which was pretty good, next time we will eat there, hopefully a little better than take out but the heat were playing and hubby wanted to relax at the villa for the game. Monday we ventured to blue hills and ate cracked conch at sailing paradise, great view and food! We had dinner at mango reef, excellent until all the kids started whining and crying at every table surrounding us, reminding us how much we love the privacy of Taylor bay. Tuesday we checked out green bean cafe, wow! Best breakfast sandwich I've ever had on a croissant and that is one of my favorite foods of all time! Spent most of the day in the water and napping, life is tough! Had an EXCELLENT dinner at coco bistro! I thought it was gonna be a lot of hype but I must say this was one of the best meals I've ever eaten and to top it off our first dance song started playing as our dinner was served, we are honeymooning ;) Wednesday we headed out for a half day snorkel with Shawn and mo from island vibes! What an excellent day!!!! Shawn and mo are FANTASTIC! We got out to the reef and after about 10 mins in the water I spotted what I was afraid of seeing, a reef shark :( I did stay in the water and snorkel for about 20 mins more, I am very proud of myself for that! They take you to the 3rd largest reef in the world and it was beautiful, I have snorkeled many times living in south Florida and visiting the keys and the Bahamas often and do not want to ever snorkel anywhere but here again! It's beautiful! After that Shawn showed us his turtle friend frank and headed out to get some conch! To iguana island we went and served fresh conch salad then to grace bay to dive off the diving board and back home!!! Great day, if I hadn't mentioned that yet ;) headed to da conch shack for lunch, I loved the jerk chicken here, almost felt like I was back in ocho rios at scotchies! Dinner was at tiki hut for ribs, some of the best I've ever had!!! Thursday we headed to Caicos bakery then coral gardens for snorkeling! As soon as we got in the water we saw a turtle enjoying his lunch! Ok, now my vacation is complete! Headed up to somewhere after a while in the water for drinks then to Jimmy's for a burger (thank you TA for helping me find a good burger, you were right on!) that evening we went to the fish fry! So much fun! Food and entertainment was fantastic! We just love Junkanoo! We are always impressed w the energy and stamina they have! Over to Danny buoys for the heat game! Here is the night life we were looking for!!!! Packed and a lot of fun!!! Even had fun w the one guy who wanted the heat to lose ;) Friday, hit up green bean again for a delicious sandwich and explored the island some more! Went back to my fave, bugaloos for fish fingers and cracked conch, ok, a few turks heads as well, love their mugs! On the way to the airport today we will try pattys place. I will give more extensive reviews individually for each restaurant on their own pages but for here just wanted to do a quick run down!
