FYI - starting March 8, 2014 Delta will commence a new Saturday-only flight from BOS and JFK.

Delta’s planned schedule between Boston and Providenciales:

Depart (BOS) at 11:00 a.m. – Arrive (PLS) at 2:51 p.m.

Depart (PLS) at 3:55 p.m. – Arrive (BOS) at 7:40 p.m.

Delta’s planned schedule between New York and Providenciales:

Depart (JFK) at 7:40 a.m. – Arrive (PLS) at 11:00 a.m.

Depart (PLS) at 12:00 p.m. – Arrive (JFK) at 3:45 p.m.

This is great news!

Direct flights--I am envious. This is what I got to contend with going from Detroit to Provo with a 45 minute pit-stopper in Miami for $124.50 R/T for a 5 &1/2HR duration. I would be willing to pay 5 times that for a direct flight though. I especially like that flight from New York that gets you in Provo by 11AM and on the Beach by noon. That Senior teaching position @ New York-Presbyterian looks pretty good to me now. DR. JIM

Don't count on Delta offering low fares. The fares we get for the non-stop out of Atlanta are consistently some of the highest around; we pay a significant premium to go non-stop. Of course, since Delta will have some competition in JFK and BOS, they may have to offer decent fares, but I wouldn't celebrate just yet.

I hear you, AmateurGo. Delta's price is ridiculous from Atlanta.

Try DC area, not only high (no competition) but always having to make connections, sometimes going North to fly back South.

DC has nowhere to Caribbean easy. I would think they like to travel too, but I would be happier to just make it easier, regardless of price. (although I can't afford high prices anyway)

It's expensive direct from Miami. Actually cheaper most times from NY.

Two more Saturday departures from PLS between Noon and 4pm....As if there weren't enough flights leaving in that Saturday window....Hopefully the waiting area is expanded by mid June.

I would agree with 3skis, 2 more flights on a Saturday is a mixed blessing at best. PLS is already overcrowded on Saturdays......................all change is not progress.

Also agree with Blamona...we need a direct from the Baltimore/Washington DC area!!!

We ended up booking US Air, Atlanta connecting in Charlotte. My son is meeting us in Charlotte, same flight. His ticket costs $200 more than ours do. Go figure...
