Can't believe I'm asking...

Heading down in a couple of weeks. Any suggestions for a nineteen year old? He'll have Friday and Saturday nights to himself. I've already thought of Danny Buoy's and Somewhere. Any other thoughts? He'll be on foot from Somerset. Just looking for drinks and fun (away from Mom & Dad).

I cant believe im saying it but I think he'll enjoy the scene at Danny Buoys. Youngish crowd, karaoke, tvs, etc.

Another option is the Vix bar, popular with the expats

Desi, I am so excited for you going back to your favorite place.

While dining outside at Le Bouchon last trip, there was a continuous crowd of young people coming and going from The Vix..It looked like a great place for young people.

Full circle, dannys, Vix, and sand bar. Jimmys dive on some nights, but stress taxi to return and no later than midnight (it gets a little colorful after that and he's alone)

If he doesn't mind taxi (no walking to these please)

Somewhere

Gansevoort on weekends

Club Med night pass

Welcome back to your Island Paradise CaribDesi and family. Since your son is now over 18 and an adult guy now, he's of age to do all the adult things legally on Provo instead of that 21 age back home. Now this means he can stroll into any establishment and order up an adult beverage or gamble @ the Casino. Remember they have a safe shuttle to & from the Casino? Trust me, I have been through this with 2 sons and 3 daughters before. He has been on the Island many times before and knows the safe areas & places to go. I wouldn't over stress out on that curfew thing either? He's the pilot and it's his first solo flight. You are back in that control tower @ Somerset. He's clear for takeoff DAD. DR. JIM

Agree with Ziggy on Danny Buoy's...make sure he bellies up to the bar and starts talking to whoever is around him including the Bartender. In no time at all he will make new friends, I guarantee it! When we were there everyone was super nice.

Have a great trip!

Thanks, everyone. Sounds like Danny Buoy's, Jimmey's and Vix are definites. I'll take your advice on the Taxi idea for Somewhere. LOL, I'm more concerned about him in a casino...I see how he can go through money at college.:)

He knows his way around Provo, so hopefully he won't find too much trouble.

I just thought of another option, The Sand Bar. It' s next to Lemon to go. It is on Grace Bay road across from Salt Mills Plaza. ( the side of salt mills where the potcake place is). I am in my 30's and visited The Sand Bar every one of my 6 trips to Provo in 2013. I arrive in a few weeks and will def be heading back. Gila is the bartender, and is awesome. Hope your son has fun!!
