Straw market near Sands Hotel

We are staying at Ocean club. We were told there was a straw market near Sands Hotel. Is it too far to ride bicycles there? Are they open on Sunday? Thank you!

You can walk or bike to the Sands. I don't know where there is a straw market near there though.

There is no real straw market. There are 2 Cultural Centers which are basically little huts (looks like an airplane hanger almost with rooms)

One right next to Ocean Club East

One in front of Beaches Key West Village/ Alexandra unless they got chased out by Beaches Resort. There's Middle Caicos Cafe at this one too, excellent local food

There's a table of trinkets at Sands on Wednesdays, but less than what you find at Cultural Center

There's tin outdoor wall decor up the street of Seven Stars a little past IGA Gourmet supermarket. (Haitian drum art kinda things)

There's a Middle Caicos co-op with straw hats and palm leaf purses, and local ceramics. Small store at Centertown mall (not a mall in the sense if what you think) next to Quality supermarket at the airport round about. There used to be a small store of theirs next to Pizza Pizza, don't know if still there. Used to also be one at the colorful huts of Blue Hills, don't think that one is there either.

There is still a Middle Caicos Coop at Middle Caicos at Daniels Cafe, also sell hand carved boats for display.
