Provo or Aruba

We are looking for great beaches with no over-crowding,mostly adult resort and beautifull ocean views. We have narrowed our search to one of these islands. Any suggestions?

Caroling94-

We are going June 14-23rd, staying at RWI. We almost booked at Ocean Club or Ocean Club West (we hadn't decided which one). Everything I read and hear about both resorts makes me think you can't go wrong at either one. If you're there at the same time we'd love to meet! I feel like I'm getting to know some of the frequent forum posters - it would be nice to match virtual personalities with real ones!

Going to the turks in May. I've been to Aruba twice. Love the island. It is windy but beautiful. If you like the casino night life...by all means go to aruba. This vacation I'm planning is with my 6 yr old daughter and boyfriend. Beaches seems to fit both of us. As far as a couple, beaches is not for you. Look at the Aruba Grand one bedroom (beachfront). It has a patio right on the beach....I saw the room and was thinking this would be perfect for a couple.. It's not listed but ask around different agents. It's so romantic. Hope this helps. I don't know when you're going but I'll let you know about the Turks.

Good luck!!!

I have lived in Provo for 5 years and have also visited Aruba once. Provo is quieter and the beaches much better, no jet skis or noise. Night life was better in Aruba though, but locals are more frindly here.

We are going to Provo for the first time in May and have been to Aruba twice in the last three years. We stayed at the Beach Towers of the Renaissance Hotel and loved it. Large, one bedroom suites and we had an ocean view and a balcony. They have a private island there that you reach by taking a 10 minute boat ride and, when we traveled, there were never more than a handful of people on the beach. They have a restaurant/bar there and beach service. The restaurants in Aruba are excellent and there are several very good ones close to the Renaissance since it is right downtown. Shopping is right across the street from the Beach Towers and they have a huge Casino on property, as well as a smaller one by the water. I"m looking forward to going to Provo and am expecting it to be a very different experience from Aruba.
