First trip to T&C for young couple

My girlfriend and I are going to be in Providenciales all next week, and looking for some suggestions on bars/night life. From what I've just read on this forum Club Med is the place to go but I already booked at Royal West Indies (which is right next door) before I found this out. Is it possible to visit Club Med at night or is it only for all-inclusive guests? Any other suggestions on what to do at night?

We're mostly going to T&C to relax and maybe do some snorkeling but it would be nice to go out for a couple of nights. We're okay with getting drunk on the beach/poolside if there's nothing else going on :)

If any other couples here will be around Grace Bay Jan 22-29 with similar intentions let me know. We're mid-twenties, from Pennsylvania.

I'm no expert on T & C nightlife, but I'm also in my 20s and am happy to help a fellow Pennsylvanian. : )

Club Med does offer day passes. I'm sure you can head next door once you get to Provo, and find out what they cost, terms, etc. I wouldn't be surprised if they're anywhere from $50-100 for the night.

Some folks have mentioned that Gansevoort has a DJ or live music and dancing one or two nights a week.

RWI leans toward being a family resort, though you probably won't find it swarming with kids. As far as I can tell, TCI is a fairly quiet and conservative country, so most of the people who choose to visit are seeking that. What I'm trying to get at... is that the "drunk by the pool" thing might not go over too well if it's late at night, too much noise, etc. You'll have a lovely terrace or balcony at RWI, you might find that that works better. ; )

TCI is a great destination for relaxation and snorkeling. You will probably love it if you go into it knowing that it's just not a big nightlife destination. Take a snorkel and conch cruise with Caicos Dream Tours, if you can. It was a highlight of our trip.

If you plan to rent a car, you can easily drive to the Bight reef (in front of Coral Gardens) or Smith's Reef. We did the Bight and hope to snorkel at Smith's on our next trip.

Enjoy your planning. It takes the edge off of all of the shoveling we've been doing! : )

Danny Buoys is an irish pub you might want to check out. It is definately not an upscale place but I think it has entertainment pretty much every night, might be a little "rowdier" on the weekends. Have fun on your trip, you are going to love the beach and the water !!

Club Med is a pretty big complex and has the largest expanse of beach and is not really right next door. It will be a bit of a walk. You can get a day pass but that may not include alcohol. It is much more expensive on T & C. You will pay twice what you pay in the US. As for getting drunk on the beach...you won't see anyone doing that and it is frowned on. There is not much happening after ten o'clock and not many people on the beach. It is not that kind of destination. As was stated the Gansevoort, Club Med, or Somewhere on the Beach. But even Somewhere is an older crowd.

Danny buoys, wine bar and maybe the casino for some nightlife. Check with the bartenders at various spots. They will know what is up for a given night.

Club Med is right next door to RWi. It is a 3 minute walk on the beach. You will have a great time. Danny Bouys will be great for you also. It is a short walk. Have a great time!!!!

Club Med has several guest pass options, including:

- day pass (10 AM - 6 PM) $125

- Night pass (6 PM - 2 AM) $100

- "Disco" pass: 10: PM - 2 AM $50

I'm sure the prices have changed since I last checked, but the above will give you some idea. All passes include all "standard" alcoholic beverages and any meals offered during the time ("Disco" pass would not include any food). With the price of meals on Provo, the Night pass is probably a better "deal" than the Disco pass.

Don't expect any wild parties or such at Club Med, it is generally much quieter and calmer than it's reputation.

Not sure how it is now, but Sharkbite used to have a lively bar on some nights. We have been there when there was a good mix of locals and tourists. It is located in Turtle Cove and is very casual. There are also a couple of casinos, but we have never been so can’t comment on how they are. Da Conch Shack, in Blue Hills, has live music some nights, right on the beach and a fun, casual place.

Enjoy your trip. The beach and water is really the best part of this island and keeps many people coming back year after year.

Nite life is casual but definitely fun where ever you go. You will meet lots of cool people, either locals or travelers. You won't be doing any fist pumping like the kids from Jersey Shore, but you'll have fun for sure.

Feel free to "get drunk" on the beach, your on vacation! There's drinking on the beach going on everyday so you'll fit right in. It's great to see that young people like yourselves are making T/C a destination for their vacations. Have a blast!

Thank you for all the replies. We are here and it is incredibly beautiful. We have been laying around by the beach and pool, and went snorkeling and out to a few restaurants. You are right that it is very quiet but that is fine we are pretty low key. I will have to check out all the suggestions, thanks again.
