May or September?

We're looking at either May 2013 or September 2012 for a week trip to TCI. We're willing to take the kids out of school for 3 days max - so we're debating between 9/15 -9/22/12 (kids have 2 days off for a Jewish holiday) or 5/22 -5/29/13 (which is Wed to Wed and has Memorial Day in it). Which time would be the best weather? Anything else we should keep in mind while making these reservations? Thank you.

September is hurricane season. Plus some of the restaurants close that time of year.

I would chose May IMO.

It would be best in May Like was sated not so much threat of hurricane and the Spring/school breaks will all be over. Plus school will not be out all over yet so not many people yet.

Okay, three votes for May. Another question......is there any benefit going Thurs to Thurs as opposed to Sat to Sat? Thanks!!

Airfare "may" be a little more reasonable if you fly midweek.

... and count me as another May vote, although I'd never turn down a chance to go at any time of the year.

Agree with May.

The airport will be less busy on a Thursday and usually the prices are lower during the week vs. travel on a weekend.

IMO, stick with May and Thurs. to Thurs. Have fun!

Thursday to Thursday is definitely the better option.

Avoid the crowds at the airport on Saturdays, plane may not be as crowded, easier trip through customs & immigration (at both ends), and most likely cheaper airfare midweek.

We always travel midweek.

No question - MAY. It'd be better May 2012, too long of a wait till 2013...

May due to restaurant closers.

Mid week flight...less people on them than Sat. Better if you can go on a Monday or Tues. These days are even less busy at the airport.
