How many bottles of wine are we allowed to bring into Turks & Caicos? Thanks!
1.136 liters per person (imperial quart), or 3 750 ml bottles per 2 people duty free.Edited: 20 November 2011, 01:26
How much would it cost to bring 4 750ml?
How many people? You should expect anything over the allowance to be about a 40% duty charge. Bring a receipt to prove what you paid for it. If it is not hard to find or aged wine I wouldn't bother since The Wine Cellar has a pretty good selection for not much more than you can buy it for in the US.
Believe it or not, I found a boxed wine at Trader Joe's that's only $9.99. It has 4 750ml in it. I NEVER drink boxed wine, but this is really good. Thinking about bringing a couple of boxes. The duty would be less than I would pay for a bottle there.
I always bring my box wine. Cant say I have ever seen it for $9.99 though.
I was just speaking to someone last week who brings a case and pays $3/bottle. She said it is still far less than buying it there.
