First day

We would like to spend our first full day on island doing nothing more than enjoying the beauty of Grace Bay, feeling the warm sun on our face and swimming in the aquamarine water. We will have beach chairs from the condo we are renting near Turtle Cove and would like opinions as to the best place to "plunk down" for the day. Would like to be within a 10-15 minute walk to a great place for lunch but mostly would like to be at a great spot to unwind and get into vacation mode. Thanks!

Anywhere on Grace Bay is a good spot!

I would pick a spot between the Sands and the Sibonne. That way you have a choice of two good restaurants to pick from for lunch- Hemmingway's and Bay Bistro.

Enjoy paradise!

The are signs at different public access entrys to Grace Bay beach. It is good you mentioned you will have your own chairs since they are for guests only. You are welcome to have drinks, lunch, or snacks at any of the resort beach resturants or sit at their bar for a drink or two. There are many that are only a couple of minutes walk offf the beach. On the east end the beach is the widest and nicest. You will have Ocean club East Cabana Beachfront resturant. Next door is Rickey's Flamingo with great local food and both are very reasonable. At Rickey's there are some booths to browse for local trinkets to take home while you wait for your food. Walking West past the Club met you will see Pelican Bay at Royal West Indies and Ocean Club West Seaside Cafe that has an oceanfront deck and very good food.
