Big Thumbs Up On Reservation Specialist!

We just used Val from Turks and Caicos Reservations at http://www.turksandcaicosreservations.tc/. He was extremely pleasant to speak with on the phone and is going out of his way to try to get us a room in building 3 at the Sands. I highly recommend him!

He also throws in a perk based on the trip that you book.

We are going to be there from 3/20 to 3/30 so if anyone wants to get together let me know!

I am very happy with this travel group; they respond quickly and completely to emails and were able to give good advice on selecting a resort.

I have no affiliation with them but just wanted to share my positive impressions. I did not deal with Val but with Shopia.

I booked with The Sands as well. I booked directly with the Sands, when transferred to their reservations dept, I spoke with Shopia. Very nice girl, and responds to e-mails very, very quickly.

question: Does Turks and Caicos reservation TC work directly with The Sands, or does the Sands work directly with them. I am confused. I called the Sands directly when I booked. I also asked if I am speaking to a 3rd party agent. Was told no.

Thank you

djb, Turks and Caicos reservation is a local agent. You deal with them only if you call them directly.

They are local, know all the resorts, know where the specials are, can match you with your needs, and get you a perk or 3 depending on what Val ate for breakfast that day, I think.

Unlike the travel agents in NYC for example that only know Beaches. I met one of those once. "What? you dont want Beaches? Where will you eat?"

djb, TCR works with The Sands, as well as almost all of the resorts. If you called The Sands website phone number you got The Sands reservation, right at the resort. If you called the toll free number on TCR's website, you got Val or staff. Val/TCR can still give you all of the specials that The Sands offers, plus a 'reward' for booking through them.

Sophia works for The Sands in the reservation Dept. She is so nice!

Hope that cleared up your question.

You did clarify that for me. Thank you. I actually did get a good deal booking with The Sands directly. I got a two bd OF every 4th night.

thank you

TCR priced my last hotel stay lower then the direct hotel SALE price PLUS the extra incentive of a day car rental or restaurant voucher is a nice perk. Although really the best perk is to meet Val and his crew while in T&C.

Yes.....TCR is a booking agency.

The premise is they book a vacation and receive a comission from the resort.

Simple economics.

Not any different from GBCR.Book a car and they receive the comission.
