Dress Codes

The wife and I leave for Provo in 11 days for her 30th birthday! We are planning on packing light, but were wondering if we may need more formal attire for some of the nicer restaurants. Do any of the places have a dress code?

Thanks

The island is ultra casual, shorts, deck shoes and a polo shirt for men, sun dress or shorts for women and you will be over dressed for most places. I have never packed a pair of long pants when traveling to Provo, and have never been turned away from any restaurant. The general when for packing for Provo is bring 1/2 the clothes and twice the $$$$. Just talkin'!

ATM's are available, and cash depends on what you plan to do. Almost everyone takes credit cards, but I like to have $100/day just in case.

Have fun!

Many people do like to dress up, but 97% of the places it isn't necessary; however not out of place either way.

You don't have to worry about a dress code, but one word of caution; many of the restaurants are outdoor and if the winds are down the mosquitos and noseeums can be a problem. It may be helpful to bring a pair of long pants with you for such occasions, especially if you are sensitive to insect bites.
