Do the vendors and local people bother you to buy things like they do in Jamaica?
nothing like Jamaica, but they are increasing.
Yeah, now you may actually see, but not necessarily be approached by, one or two vendors a week on the beach....
amateur, sorry to say it is much more frequent and annoying. Some do approach and we just tell him "Marvelous Max" is our go to guy. He never bothers anyone nor approaches. Just walks down the beach yelling Marvelous!!! totally respectful, unlike many of the others now.
Maybe just because it is high season.Edited: 13 March 2014, 18:56
Did'nt realize that hair braiders needed to carry a union card.
"Marvelous" sounds like The Godfather of Grace Bay. :)
Love, love, love Marvelous Max!!! He always smiles and "yells" a special "Marvelous" our way. Just thinking about him makes my day (:
To tcmike….I don't think you have enough hair to braid, Bub! lolEdited: 14 March 2014, 01:00
I suspect the vendors do not come down to the Club Med beach area very much, so I just don't see them. We do walk well down the beach frequently, almost to Beaches, but always in the (relatively) early morning so there are probably no vendors around then.
In any case, it cannot be near as bad as Jamaica; that is one of the main reasons we never returned there.
Definitely not like Jamaica. Just more than I am use to.
