Ritz Carlton

Hi. Staying at the Ritz Carlton in August and thinking about upgrading to club level. Any experience with club level? What does it actually provide? Is the room providing the food and drinks just like a hotel room or is it by the beach? Can you take items with you?

Thanks

The Club Level experience is terrific! The Club has a lovely setting with a view of the water and indoor/outdoor seating. Very informal. You can come in off the beach with cover and have lunch, afternoon tea, etc. There are four daily food presentations (buffet - finger foods, but very ample) -- breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea/appetizers, desserts after dinner. We like a number of restaurants on St. Thomas so generally go out for dinner. However, the portions, variety, etc. of the food presentations at the Club are excellent, and you really wouldn't have to eat out at all.

The Club also has its own concierge to help you with any reservations/activities and there's a computer room if you don't bring your own laptop.

The Club room is a large room, well organized, and the service is exceptional. Don't hesitate. If you're coming with family, there are also games, etc. It's like a big lounge with food all day. There's no reason why you couldn't take items with you, but I don't see why you would want to. Some items are hot foods, for example, and it's such a pleasant atmosphere that it's a nice, cool break from the beach -- especially in August!

Thanks for the info. Sounds great! I was wondering if it was far from the pool/beach. Can you take a drink to the pool/beach?

Thanks
