Has anyone stayed at Paper Moon in Johnson Bay?

Hello,

My husband and I are looking into booking a last minute trip to St. John in August. I am hoping to find a villa rental for somewhere around $1,000 for the week. (perferably lower) I can across Paper Moon in Johnson Bay. I love that it is some what secluded, has walking access to the water for kayaking and snorkeling, and has a hot tub. My concerns are that it is TOO secluded in terms of traveling to the beach and to restaurants, and how nice it is.

Has anyone ever stayed there or in the Johnson Bay area? Any feedback?

Does anyone know how long it would take to drive to Cruz Bay, or Coral Bay from there? How about Trunk Bay to go to the beach?

Any input would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks!!!

1. Re: Has anyone stayed at Paper Moon in Johnson Bay?

We have stayed at Rainbow Beach Villa at Johnson Bay and liked the area very much. We thought it was very convenient as we like the restaurants in the Coral Bay area. Shipwrecked Landing is about 5 minutes away and Skinny Legs, maybe 10. Francis Bay is probably the closest North Shore beach at about 15 minutes and Maho slightly longer. Johnson Bay is also convenient to Salt Pond and places on the East End. Have a great trip.
