I have read that shells can be collected in the BVI but I know it is illegal in St. John. If you take a day trip from St. John to BVI and collect some shells, are you able to bring them back? Has anyone every shipped some home from the BVI?

I can't tell you about shipping shells from the BVI to the mainland but if you collect shells in the BVI, bring them into STT and then try and fly out with them they'll probably be confiscated as it'll be a little hard to prove that you collected them in the BVI and not in the USVI!

Shells? I have yet to see any worth collecting. I just go for a piece or two of bleached out coral bits.
