Photographs from Trip 4/18-28 - see also Trip Report

Hi all,

For those of you that are interested, here's a link to some photographs I took on our vacation, as described in the previous trip report. For anyone who likes snorkeling, the wayer was as clear as I have ever seen it for the most part. Was one of the best, if not the best, snorkel trips we have taken. The link will take you to my Picasa page, the albums should be obvious, but they are labeled St John 2010 and St John Underwater 2010. Enjoy

Colin

The first shot of your unidentified fish looked like a hogfish to me, but the second one had me second guessing that ID.

Great pictures - you were right, the water clarity looked to be well above average!

Thanks for sharing your pictures.

The underwater ones were taken with a Canon G9 in a custom underwater case. The land ones were taken either with that, or a Canon Rebel XS. Just as important as the camera, I use the RAW images and process them with Adobe Lightroom.

Took a look at hogfish. There is some resemblance, but I couldnt say one way or the other

Ridiculously GOOD pictures - what kind of camera did you use? Congrats on so many great sightings - I think I saw the same baracuda off hawksnest or the other (unnamed) fish - all I know is that it scared me to death and I headed back to shore. I never did see a turtle - looks like you saw more than your fair share..can't wait to go back. Thanks for sharing - Cathy
