Need 6 bedroom Villa recommenations

Ok, I making a list for possible 4 bedroom villas for June 2011 but now we might have another family joining us. They would need 2 bedrooms and that leaves me looking for a 6 bedroom villa.

I did a search on the forums and I also searched the villa sites but the possibilities are pretty limited.

That is why I am looking to my TA friends for help. I want to make sure I've explored every 6 bedroom on the island. I would also consider a 5 bedroom with a separate cottage where this family could stay.

All suggestions would be very much appreciated. Thanks

This has 6 bedrooms, but for me, the pool is small for that big of a house

We stayed at Vida de Mar (which is a 5 bedroom)in July. It has a separate cottage right on the beach; the cottage has one bedroom with twin beds, and another bedroom with a queen bed. Vida de Mar is completely air-conditioned, and has a very large pool. We enjoyed our stay there.

Disregard my earlier post, as Vida has a total of only 5 bedrooms.

Coco de Mer has 5 BRs but they also rent the little cottage right next door along with Coco de Mer. We stayed there and it is a fantastic location with great views too. Wonderful open living area and a 50ft pool. This would suit your party for sure and we loved the Peter Bay location too (very close to beaches) even though you have to navigate a few steep/sharp switchbacks which you get used to. Good luck! PM me if you have questions.

I would second the Peter Bay location for the North Shore beach access alone. I have spoke directly to several repeat renters of Coco De Mar and the house gets great reviews.

we rented a different house in Peter Bay and I wasn't thrilled with the Peter Bay beach or the access but the general North Shore location is just terrific.

Check out Chateau Margot on Bordeaux Mtn. It's the only 6 bedroom that we've rented and the house is great. Not all equal bedrooms, however but all are very nice. Two share a bathroom which may work out well for a family situation.

Here are a few more to check out. www.villasofdistinction.com/villas/st-john/… .

Here is an update on my search:

Top of my list is Ristaba, followed by Monte Bay and then Tennis Villa.

Friendship, Villa St John and Mare Blue are too expensive for my group.

Villa Paulette seems nice but I am concerned about the lack of view.

Oceana is in Coral Bay, we don't want to be that far from Cruz Bay. Same for Chateau Bordeaux.

I have to look into the cottage at Coco de Mer but I remember trying to rent that villa last time we were there and it was expensive.

If anyone has stayed at any of these on my list and can answer some questions, I would be very much obliged.

How is the layout at Tennis Villa? Everything seems so spread out and it looks like the buildings block the views.

Has anyone stayed at Villa Paulette? If looks like the hillside location make for very un-inspiring views.

Oceana is actually on Great Cruz Bay, not Coral Bay. That location would be very convenient to town. I stayed in that neighborhood before, right above the house.

I can recommend Vacation Vistas as a rental agency.

Ristaba is a beautiful property. That would be top of my list as well. Lisa Durgin manages it and she is great.

I like that the Guest house at Monte Bay has it's own kitchen, but that may not be something that you are looking for.

Tennis Villa is a great home, but it is older. So while it is well cared for, it is not new and luxurious
