Live Music

Hi Everyone! We'll be in STJ 1/30-2/4 and wonder if anyone has a live music schedule? I was able to find the Beach Bar Fri/Sat nite at 9 pm but can't find any other listings. We actually prefer happy hour or early evening music as we are early risers. Would love to have at least one place every day on our itinerary. Thanks for the help. Brenda

I absolutely love St. John but the music scene is lame. Beach Bar is your best bet, bring you MPD and hope your villa has speakers that work, mine did not. Hope you have a great trip, safe travels.

Okay, if there isn't much live music what fun options are available for late afternoon/early evening? Did I read there were pool tables somewhere? Any other non-drinking activities to do? I assume there are no movie theatres or museums?

The local reggae band - Inner Visions - will be playing at Coral Bay Oasis (in Coral Bay) on Saturday, Feb 1st at 6pm. Great combo, our favorite local band and our favorite restaurant. Also, Monday is Open Mic evening (I think 4 - 7pm) at Concordia, with some appetizer specials.

Parrot Club may have a pool table. I think they also have slots, though I have only walked by, never been in the place. Not my kind of thing.

High tide has live music some nights. Cruz bay is the type of place that you can just wonder around and land where the mood hits you , walk around and just decide where you want to eat and hang out. We usually start out at mongoose and work our way around "town". No there are no movie theaters or museums but you will find things to do. LOVE Inner visions check them out per previously posted above.

GottaDance-, you made my afternoon on a very cold day in Ohio. I have been seeking out the InnerVisions schedule and hopefully playing in Coral Bay during our stay-1/28-2/6. Yippy Skippy, indeed playing on our side of the island-can't wait-just hope the weather/airlines cooperates with our journey.

Sun Dog Cafe has a great open mike/jam session Sunday nights at 5:30 p.m. You won't be disappointed. It's a great time.

Oasis is near Island Blues, Cases and Reggies - just a small place but I hear great things about it. Meant to stop in there on my last trip, but never got around to it.

No pool table at the Parrot Club - just slots and a couple automated table games. We throw a few bucks in the machines there when we're wandering around Cruz Bay because their AC works really well.

Our last trip we stayed right in Cruz Bay, even though I usually prefer Coral Bay. There was pretty much live music every night somewhere.
