Westin St. John??

Hi,

Has anyone planned or attended a wedding at the Westin St. John? The reviews are some what mixed. Any experiences or advice would be great. Also, if anyone has another location that they could recommend, please share! Thanks so much!

How long do you plan to stay? If you have the $$$ I'd suggest Caneel or renting a villa. If you're only there for a few days I'd suggest Estate Lindholm B&B. Be sure to rent a Jeep for your stay so you can explore the island and hit all the beaches. You'll be planning your return trip before you leave the island.

Hi, We looked at the Westin before deciding on Caneel Bay.

The contract rate for rooms for our guests were alot higher than Caneel's (which is insane!- over 200 more per night) That helped us to rule out the Westin.

Also, we wanted a very quiet romantic island wedding. The spot at the Westin is nice, but Caneel is so much nicer.

The back up for rain was also sad- in front of a staircase in the conference room hallway. We just weren't very impressed with the Westin.
