Weather wise, January is one of the coolest months. Average high temp is in the lower 70's. There are days where the temp will get into the 80's, but also days when a cold front has passed, where our temps will stay in the 60's. And when a cold front has passed, it's usually cloudy, damp, and windy for a couple of days. Can't personally tell you about the pools and water attractions at Atlantis on cooler days.

Jan would not be the best month. You may want to consider going further south during that time.

Pools are open and heated--we always go for a week the first week in january==as long as the sun is out you will be fine. I can count on one hand the number of days over the last ten years that we weren't able to sit in the sun. Yes you can have some cloudy cool days==generally if the US is chilly on east coast it affects the Bahamas. good thing at Atlantis is no crowds!
