Back from Nassau

Just wanted to thank everyone for their suggestions,

we went against your better judgement, and rented scooters, and am very glad we did. we were in port from 8am until midnight. although we got back to the ship by 7pm. ( wasnt sure about the night life in nassau we were skeptical ) the people are so very nice, and helpful. We visited the Cloisters, Arawak Cay, The caves... Bahamian people are super nice!

Cant wait to go back and make it to the other side of the island maybe next time.

Thanks

I might try the scooter rental. Where did you rent from? Also can I ride around the island in a couple of hours.

We rented our Scooters from J&S ? there are like 2 or 3 scooter rentals side by side after you get off the cruise ship dock in that pavilion, the other one is Knowles. it was less than $100 for the entire day, we had to have them back by 5pm. ( if you get lost, or have troubles you can call them and they will either meet you or give you directions) they were very nice! the island is 21 miles long and 7 miles wide, so you should be able to cover alot of territory, they also provide you with a map, so just ask them. We also took a video camera ! SO MUCH FUN!

Good luck , let me know how it goes.
