We'll be staying at the Colonial Hilton in Nassau this weekend. I heard the breakfast buffet at the Hilton is very good, but am looking for suggestions for other places to eat breakfast in that area.

1. Re: Breakfast

My favorites spots downtown are:

Cafe Skans (right next to the new straw market which will open this fall).. the native breakfast of corn beef and grits is my favorite.. add an egg and it's complete. they have an american menu as well.

Olive's Mediterranean Cafe.. the Greek omelette is divine.

Banana creme pancakes?? OMG!!!

Guava French toast.. to die for.

Both places are just a couple of blocks down Bay Street.

Olives in in the International Plaza

There's also Imperial takeaway across the street for take out cheap breakfasts.. I think an egg breakfast runs' about $4. McDonalds is across the street as well, and Dunkin donuts on the corner.

There are several small cafe's in the plaza's downtown that serve mainly native breakfasts. Tuna/Grits - Corned Beef/Grits, chicken souse etc.

I one in the prince george plaza is always busy and smells great, although I haven't eaten there.
