Just came back. Weather was great, but we did get some periods of rain. Usually lasts only about 1/2 hour or so, then clears up.

Check the 10 day forecast at weather.com.

Didn't have any problem with mosquitos at all. My wife got some bites on her lower legs, which she thinks might be sand fleas. I walked on the same beach, and no problems. Might have something to do with perfumes, creams, fragrences that you have on.

Anyway, don't worry about the weather or the bugs. Just go and have a great time.

A few years back, I got bit by the "no see ums". We were out in the evening and I had shorts on. My legs got attacked. Thank God it was our last night there. I now use unscented skin so soft aerosol w/sunscreen. There were six in our party and I was the only person who got bit. The bites on my legs were there for a good two weeks!

We brought a can of OFF for the mosquitos, but we didn't have any problems. My wife got some bites sitting on a bench outside of the Creamery (ice cream place) in Marina Village while I was inside getting the treats. She was listening to the Junkanoo band that was entertaining the crowds, so with all those bodies I am sure it stirred up plenty of mosquitos for the area, but otherwise we had no problems. Then again, we didn't stay out late at night, except in the casino and the shuttle rides back to the Harborside.

We didn't see any bugs while were there in December. It was heaven. Up here the mosquitos carry off small children, it was nice to enjoy the heat with no swatting!!!

I swear by the new Avon skin so soft aerosol spray with picoridin in it. I haven't been bitten yet wearing that stuff. And we all know how bad those pests are here in New England.

Got back on Monday, horrible rain for half the trip - including two and half days in row due to "Barry" - on and off for all but two days of the week we were there. Streets were flooded in town, but no mosquitos.
