SOME airlines include the departure tax fee in their tickets. But Not all. We purchased our airfare through Expedia and it was included.

Call your airline and ask specifically.

Departure fee is also often collected by your resort and you'll need to ask.

It should be included in your ticket. If not, it should be around $15.

If you do have to pay it, it is done at the airport, and I believe they want it in cash. Not positive.

It's not supposed to be collected at the airports. It is set up to be included in either airline tickets or resort fees.

In the past 5+ years I've been going, it's been in the airline ticket. So that's the first place. But checkers is right, they'll want it in cash if it's not included in something. So be sure you have $30 in cash at the end. But it should be all wrapped up.

Why would a person have to pay a departure fee? This is the first I have ever heard about this. Is this common for travel outside of the US???
