What can Teenagers do at night at Atlantis or the One&Only?

We are traveling with 6 teens ages 14-18. I am debating staying at The Cove vs. The One and Only. I cannot determine which will be more interesting for my teenagers and their friends. Only one of them is 18, her friend is 17and 3/4. Are teens shut out of all the night life at Atlantis? They are old enough to take a shuttle back and forth to the One and Only if we stay there, but I wonder if they would prefer to be at the Atlantis property. Any ideas?

Atlantis just opened a club called Crush for teens ages 13 - 17. I believe the minimum age for Aura Nightclub is 18. During the day there are lots of activities including the water park and aquaventure. Check out atlantis.com - kids - crush. They may prefer to be at the Atlantis property to be in the middle of everything.

Only your 18 y/o would be able to "legally" experience the adult nightlife at the Atlantis. The movie theater, club rush, arcade and another new kids club can be used by the other teens. Our youngest is now 18 and will be able to gamble with us in the evenings. We have stayed on many atlantis properties, but not the Cove. My DH and I have stayed at the One and Only resort on two occasions. Once when traveling with another couple, and once just us two. Not only was I not going to "foot the bill" for the boys to stay at the One and Only, I feel that they would have been bored there. If that ends up being your choice, the One and Only offers complimentary private vehicle transportation over PI, and your teens would be able to use it if they were guests. Your best bet would probably be the Cove.

Previous posters have all offered good advice, but I just wanted to add that the teeen club is strict about ages, so your 18 year old would not be able to attend with the younger teens, while the not quite 18 teens would not be able to join the 18 year old in the night clubs or casino. A dilemma indeed, but there are places they can hang out in the evenings together and enjoy themselves. There is also a sports court for basketball and rock wall climning as well as a well-equppoed gym. And of course, Johnny Rocket's and Marina Village.

A word of caution for youngsters who might be looking to go off-site to drink and hang out. Alcohol consumption is not well regulated here and the standing joke has been that if you can see over the counter, you will be served. Places away from Atlantis will be more likley to follow this view. And if they choose to do this, they should stay together and never leave their drink unattended. Too many scary things have happened, and it is almost time for yet another Spring break season of madness to descend on the island....
