What to do at night besides clubbing?

This will be our 1st trip to Atlantis (in June). We are a family of 4, kids ages 4 and 12. Also traveling with my parents in their 50s. We usually go to all inclusive resorts and always have shows, etc in the evenings to go to. My mother loves this. However, I'm worried that my parents will be bored in the evenings. What is there to do at night that doesnt cost a whole lot? I'd hate for them to pay all this money to go there only to be bored and thus ruin it for the rest of us!

Thanks!

Jerry Seinfeld is playing there in June!! There's the casino, take a walk around the Marina Village....shops, restaurants, street entertainment. HUGE yachts to admire. Nite-time is always good to walk the property. Everything takes on a different view at nite.

Nighttime at Atlantis is a strange mix of tons of lively activity/people moving around, like in Vegas, but also seemingly not that much to do.

Now if you're a gambler or are in to nightclubs, there's the casino and Aura.

Otherwise, nighttime activity is pretty low-key. Atlantis has a movie theater which is free. Bimini Road, a casual restaurant in the marina village usually has a live band out front. There's a comedy club. Several of the lobby bars will often have live music. And The Point restaurant, an outdoor place, has a musician on weekend nights I think.

There's no go-karts, hula-contests, mini-golf, fireworks, Broadway revues, or bungee jumps. Take it for what it is and enjoy that nighttime is low-key.

Being a regular Disney visitor, I've come to really enjoy that the day ends after dinner at Atlantis....no lining up for two hours to get the right spot for a parade and fireworks, then an exhausted wait in a long line for a bus back to the hotel. Just a nice dinner, a nice leisurely walk with some ice cream in the marina village, and then bed. Then up early the next morning for fun in the sun. I throw a couple hours in the casino in there every few nights.

We've been somewhat bored at night at the Atlantis. Last summer, our 18 yr old was too old for club rush, and not enough $$ for the casino. Not much for him either. Our other teen enjoyed club rush.

We tried to stay at the beach/pools until about 4:00 or 5:00. By the time we all showered and went to dinner, that didn't leave tons of time at night. We planned it that way.

You can wander through the Marina Village, get an ice cream, sit down & get appetizers (if you had early dinner), look at the yachts, watch the Junkanoo parade.

Wander through the stores at the Royal Towers. The bar in the BeachTower lounge had karaoke. Fun to watch ! Go to the free movie theater. The comedy club is about $20 each (I think) and has a 7:00 or 7:30 family show with an adult show about 9:00.

The outdoor grounds are nice at night too.

NyFinche,

Do you need reservations for this BBQ/Show? We have a group of 10 arriving on a Sunday afternoon in June. It sounds like something different and fun to do.

Is there a kids club for after dinner, like one would find on cruise ships?

There is a kids club. They have different things so the experience is different each day. Our daughter went once and we had to have her picked up by 10:00 pm.
