Atlantis- Coral Towers or Beach Towers?

Looking into staying at Atlantis for 4nights in January. Traveling with husband, mid-twenties sons and daughter in-law. Is the slighly higher price of the Coral Towers worth it over the Beach Towers? We will be spending some time at the casino, but also all the other great things to see and do are of interest. Thanks!

Coral is closer to Marina Village dining and casino, has more services (front desk is there and it has Starbucks), etc. Rooms are slightly nicer in Coral, but just barely. The Beach Tower is a bit of an extra walk wherever you are going, but is right on the beach, and the walks are all pleasant ones.

If you are going at a quiet time of year, the Beach Tower might actually be closed and you'd be upgraded to Coral or Royal....you can still book at Beach Tower rates even if they plan to have it closed.

Thanks! We are looking to go in January. I am trying to figure out how inconvenient the Beach Towers would be. I do like the fact that it is nearest the beach, though. It seems that by the description, the Beach Towers may be more geared towards famililies with youg kids? This would NOT be a plus.

We stayed at the Coral in June - loved it. So convenient to everything. Keep in mind the weather could be iffy in January. We spent an afternoon at the beach tower pool, it's really nice and was pretty empty. My brother stayed at the Beach Tower last year, he thought it was nice. If I go back (and I hope to), I would pick the Coral again.

The buffet dining venue in the Beach Tower is geared toward families and there is a tween nightclub, but these really don't have much impact.

Kid central is the big pool complex by the Royal Towers. And there are kids everywhere and in every tower at Atlantis.

The lazy river and pool area by the Beach tower is actually pretty low-key and can be a nice place to have some quiet time. This area i s equally convenient to the Coral.

Not sure if you know/realize this, but no matter where you stay at Atlantis, there will be a lot of walking. You can be close to one thing, but the property is so spread out, that if you are close to point a, you are a 10 minute walk to point b.

Thank-you for your advice. Still working on the details! Trying to take advantage of the one night free offer.

I don't mind walking plus in sounds like there is alot to see on the walk. Now my 20-something sons....well you know how THEY can be! LOL

I stayed in Beach Towers in November. I think if I was to go back I might stay in Coral Towers. We had young children and it was quite a walk to the waterpark area. But like others have said it is a lot of walking anywhere you stay there. The rooms at Beach Tower were nice enough. I'd recommend an ocean view, otherwise you are probably going to be looking out at the roof, like we were, not so attractive. But you don't spend a lot of time in your room. The check in for Beach is at Coral, and you cannot get dropped off by taxi at the Beach entrance - it is closed to taxis. The shuttle still runs there. We went to Starbucks quite a bit and it is a little bit of a walk.

I would recommend the Coral Towers over the Beach Towers, personally. I stayed in the Coral towers and while the Beach tower is closer to the beach, it's further from all the wonderful amenities that Atlantis has to offer.

My family stayed at Coral Towers and loved it. We were there I believe 4 years ago and I am pretty sure we made our reservation online. they don't seem to allow you to make reservations for Coral Towers online from Atlantis website, does anyone know why? We are planning a trip to Atlantis again this year.

Having stayed in both, I don't find it a significant difference in room amenities / comfort and wouldn't pay the upcharge for Coral. Especially if you are given the Coral rooms which are in the separate 2-floor buildings in between the Coral and Beach Towers, you have to access those from the Beach Tower anyway. I would book the Beach, and if you are in a slow time, maybe you will get upgraded anyway. If you like high level floors, then the water view Beach tower would be best, but prepare for long elevator waits on occasion.

I stayed at the Beach Tower in 2010. It is less expensive and if you don't mind walking, you walk from hotel to hotel indoors. My only beef was the pool was closed for maintenance the whole week. But we did have an oceanview room. It was in my opinion for my 1st time going there.
