Are the Royal Towers worth it?

Hi, we (husband, two sons, 4 and 10, and I) are starting to plan a family vacation to Atlantis for next May, at first I was just thinking Coral Towers, but the Royal Towers are not to much more in price, other than being a little bigger, what's the difference? Thanks in advance.

We just got back from a first trip and were at the cove. Just from outside appearance I would say it is a big upgrade. The grounds at the Royal were amazing. You can tell the Coral Towers were built much earlier

The other thing is the drop all the cruise people near the Coral so as you travel west it gets a lot less crowded

The Royal Towers opened in 1998. The Coral Towers were part of an old resort and opened over 30 years ago. So, the R.T. rooms from an age perspective are much newer and nicer.

The only thing I didn't like about the Royal Towers was that our room had a french balcony instead of a full balcony. I'm not sure if that's the case for all rooms in that Tower.

You're closer to the Marina Village and most of the dinner options in the Coral. Plus the grounds around and between the Coral and Beach, with many sea-life lagoon exhibits and the underwater tunnel, are quite nice.

We often like to move over to this are in the afternoon, after a morning in the Aquaventure craziness. The Lazy River and River pool are usually much lower-key, and they're right on the beach. And this area rarely has any cruisers.

All the Coral rooms have a full balcony, while most in Royal are tiny french ones (meaning really just sliding glass doors).

Unless you really care about the subtle difference in the size and modernity of Royal over Coral, I don't think you'd regret saving some money.

We love the coral towers, very clean and neat and centrally located for lots of stuff. There's a picture of our room on my profile if you want to take a look. We've stayed there twice and will stay there again :)

Over the past six months we have spent a weekend in the Beach Tower, Coral Tower, and for Super Bowl weekend the west Royal Tower. I personally prefer the Coral Tower, as it's a bit more central. Beach and Coral are older, but they keep them in good shape, rooms were just fine. Royal Tower was fine as well, just didn't like not having a balcony. The bottom line with staying at Atlantis, your going to need comfortable shoes, as your going to do lots of walking. Going back end of March, and were going with the Coral Tower.

I agree the balcony is almost worth the Coral Towers but the Royal Towers

is closer to tthe Aquaventure, the spa,the Casino, and is nicer for sure.

The Cove is a definite upgrade as it has it all. Its all good so no matter which you choose you will love the resort
