Smoke free rooms or sections of Atlantis?

I am allergic to cigarette smoke, and from reading the reviews of Atlantis, it sounds like there is no such thing as a non smoking room or even area! As far as smoke goes, what would be the best tower? Can you even smoke in the newer sections - the Cove and the Reef?? I would be willing to pay more if I don't have to feel terrible the entire stay.

Across the street from the Coral Tower at Atlantis is Comfort Suites. All the rooms there are non-smoking rooms. The entire facility is a 100% smoke-free hotel.

We were on a non smoking floor (I believe 6th) in Coral Towers 2 times (past 2 Junes). Never smelled any smoke anywhere in the hotel, no problem.

Is smoking allowed in Harborside ? Yuck, hadn't thought of this as most properties I frequent are smoke free.

I know, I was very surprised when I was ready the TA reviews, alot of ppl mentioned smelling smoke. Being around a lot of smoke would absolutely ruin my vacation. Someone even said they were smoking cigars on the lazy river!!! YUCK!

Smoking, obviously, is permitted in the Casino and the hallways. Some nights in the Casino are smokier than others.

We have been three times to Atlantis and the last time the smoke in the casino was so awful I said I would not go back. It was cigar smoke and it seemed that particular weekend everyone was smoking cigars at all the slots and tables. It must have been a bachelor party weekend. However, I never smelled it in our rooms and have stayed at both Coral and royal towers. We are going back in a few weeks but will be there during the weekdays so hopefully the casino will be ok. The grounds are so beautiful and large (a lot of walking) I do not remember seeing anyone smoking or having anyone close to me smoking so I am sure you will have a wonderful time. If the casino is bad you can just avoid it or go during the day time.

The Cove rooms ( non smoking) are really fresh smelling. I HATE smoke smell and iI can tell if a room has been smoked in. Only the Casino is a problem I have found, which is why I don't hang out there in the evenings.

During the day and early evening not too bad. I wouldn't cancel based on avoiding smoke as my experience

is that it is just not a problem other than the casino

The reef is non smoking indoors. I think they allow smoking outside and near the pools. We did have to move more than once because of someone smoking cigarettes or cigars. I found less smoke though at the cove and the reef. Coral towers reeked of smoke in the lobby and the casino would be unbearable for me
