Dinner Reservsations

A few reviews have said line ups for dinners are crazy...how necessary is it to book reservations for dinners? Life is so crazy here at home that it would be nice to be able to head to dinner when you felt like it instead of having a schedule on holiday?? I am guessing we would miss out on any of the nice dinner places then? ps birthday dinner for 11 year old while we are down there...any suggestions?

not all places require or even take reservations--Bimini Road for example doesn't take them. But if you want to go to some of the more upscale restaurants you likely won't be able to get in without a rather long wait. It also depends when you are going--if it is a holiday or the popular summer months then you will have a wait.

You should have reservations for most of the fine dinning restaurants if you want to go at peak times, but you can still go to many other places like bimini road or the buffets without them. Carmines is a great place to go for a birthday dinner, but you may want to make reservations :-)

Sorry to disappoint you fadia, but I am 99% certain that the Cafe at the Great Hall of Waters in the Royal Tower is no longer in operation. For several years while I was there the area was being used for private/business buffets.

Others here can confirm this.

Fadia,

I just received a casino offer in the mail yesterday and Cafe' at the Great Wall of Waters is listed as one of the restaurants on the value dining plan.

Our most recent visit was July 2012 and I think that it was still being used for private parties.

I guess that it is best to call and find out for sure, especially since your son really wants to eat there.

When we were there in March, people were eating at the Great Hall of Waters. However we did not. It may be just for those on the dining plan.
