    Best place to stay at Atlantis?

    Best place to stay at Atlantis?

    So I have read so many different posts about the hotels at the Atlantis, I am a little overwhelmed & not sure where to stay. We are planning to go mid Oct / early Nov for my parents 50th wedding anniversary. There will be 7 of us total including children: 7 & 9 years old. My father has a difficult time walking but refuses to use a scooter so we would like something centrally located for him & close to the casino but that is also kid friendly. Any tips / advice would be apprecitated. Thank you.

    If your father has difficulty walking, there really is no place that he will be comfortably situated. It's a long walk to pools, beaches, and restaurant venues regardless of where you stay.

    Personally I would rethink Atlantis if he doesn't want to use a scooter.

    If it's their anniversary, I would somewhere THEY can enjoy.

    He will be miserable.

    We are going to be at Harborside at Thanksgiving for my parents 50th Anniversary! There are 30 of us! I agree that anywhere you stay walking will be an issue. Harborside has their own pool but all of the action of the waterpark is at Atlantis. The Royal Towers are the most centrally located for sure. Good Luck!

    Hi Mefcg!

    I'd think a room closest to the lobby/elevator in the Coral Towers would be closest to the Casino for your Dad - http://www.atlantis.com/content/pdf/map.pdf Tell him Happy 50th.!!! and that this is the former Brittania Beach Hotel, where Howard Hughes lived (think he rented the top floor, or top 2 floors...) in 1970 :)

    I have to agree with Scuba.. if pops has trouble walking, getting around will not be easy. PERIOD.

    ALthough you might get a room near the casino.. eating breakfast, lunch and dinner will be miserable.

    The place is 114 acres. I'm exhausted just thinking about it.

    I think Royal towers best for those who want minimum walking Casino just through the lobby, marketplace for breakfast is only steps away as is lounge

    I have traveled with a limited walker and she managed to have a wonderful time . She stayed at the Cove but usednthe free shuttle back and forth to the casino
