Atlantis Resort

Hi,

I'm booking a trip for my parents (in their 60's) to the Bahamas for a stay at Atlantis and am wondering what tower or building would be recommended for them. They will be mostly sitting on the beach, and walking around and visiting the different shops in town. It will be a trip to relax so while I know Atlantis is a busy resort, is there a particular part of it that is maybe a bit quieter to stay in?

Thank you!

Cove is your best bet for finding relaxation. It's more expensive, but at least your parents can get away from the frenzy.

What month are you thinking? My husband and I (mid 50s) went in June twice (2011, 2012). Crowds were not too bad (2011 was very beginning of June, 2012 mid June, little more crowded than the first time). We stayed in the Coral Towers (centrally located for us between marina village and casino, the resort is quite large, no matter where you stay there will be lots of walking). The Cove beach is nice and peaceful (any one can go there). My brother and his wife have been a few times, last two visits stayed in Beach tower, they liked it just fine and my sis in law likes the beach right outside the building. Cove is, of course, more money, so you may want to check prices and what special they have going.

Have you/they got their hearts set on Atlantis? If not, perhaps consider the British Colonial Hilton right in downtown Nassau. It doesn't have the "wow" factor of Atlantis, but it doesn't have the crowds either and has a nice quiet beach and pool while only being steps from downtown Nassau with allt he shops.

For Atlantis, I would suggest the Cove -- nice beach, quiet and away from most of the crowds.

The Reef or the Cove. We stayed at the Reef, and it actually seemed even quieter than the Cove- less people around. Both are right next to the beach which was never crowded when we were there. We chose the Reef specifically because the reviews said it was quieter and more relaxing, and we weren't disappointed.
